If you've made our classic Rice Krispie Treats, you know they are the VERY best! And if you haven't made them, what are you waiting for?

Well, we have another amazing treat for you today, Oreo Rice Krispie Treats! We took our tried and true Rice Krispie Treat recipe and added in Oreo cookies and white chocolate. Oh yes, this cookies and cream version is INCREDIBLE.

You are in for a real a treat!

Oreo Rice Krispie Treat Ingredients

  • Butter– the start of everything delicious, ha!
  • Mini marshmallows– I prefer mini marshmallows because they melt better AND I like to stir in extra mini marshmallows so the treats are extra gooey!
  • Vanilla extract– a little splash!
  • Sea salt– I am all about the sweet AND salty!
  • Crispy rice cereal– You can use the classic Rice Krispies cereal or a generic brand.
  • Oreo cookies– chop up the cookies. If you need the treats to be gluten-free, you can use gluten-free Oreos. They make them!
  • White chocolate chips– I highly recommend using Guittard white chocolate chips if you can find them. They are the best!
  • Oil– you will need just a little bit of oil for melting the white chocolate. The treats get a drizzle of white chocolate on top. YUM!

How to Make Oreo Rice Krispie Treats

These cookies and cream Rice Krispie treats are easy to make and great for any party, potluck, or just because!

  • You can make the rice krispie treats in a 9×9-inch pan or 9×13-inch pan. I prefer a 9×9-inch pan so the treats are super thick and gooey!
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium high heat. Add the 16 oz bag of marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are melted.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Add the Rice Krispies and chopped Oreo cookies; gently stir until well coated with the marshmallows. Stir in the remaining mini marshmallows and white chocolate chips.
  • Transfer mixture to the pan. Lightly press the mixture into the pan, using a greased spatula. You can also lightly grease your hands and press the mixture into the pan. Don't pack and press down the treats too much or they won't be nice and gooey, which we want!
  • For the topping, place white chocolate chips and oil in a small bowl. Heat in microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Drizzle the chocolate over the top of the rice krispie treats. Top with chopped Oreo cookies.
  • Let the bars sit until chocolate sets up. Cut into squares and eat them up!

How to Store

If you don't eat them all in one sitting, cover the pan with plastic wrap or put the treats in an airtight container and store on the counter for up to 3 days.

They never last long, especially when we share with friends and family. Everyone LOVES these treats!

Ingredients

For the Rice Krispie Treats:

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 16 ounce bag mini marshmallows plus 2 cups, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 8 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 2 cups chopped Oreo cookies
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon oil
  • 1/3 cup chopped Oreo cookies

Instructions

  • For super thick Rice Krispie Treats, grease an 9×9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. For regular Rice Krispie Treats, grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. You can also line the pan with parchment paper to make it easier for them to come out of the pan. Set pan aside.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium high heat. Add the 16 oz bag of marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt. Add the Rice Krispies and chopped Oreo cookies; gently stir until well coated with the marshmallows. Stir in the remaining 2 cups of mini marshmallows and white chocolate chips.
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared pan. Lightly press the mixture into the pan, using a greased spatula. You can also lightly grease your hands and press the mixture into the pan.
  • For the topping, place white chocolate chips and oil in a small bowl. Heat in microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Drizzle the white chocolate over the Rice Krispie Treats. Top with chopped Oreo cookies.
  • Let the Rice Krispie Treats sit until chocolate is hard, about 1 hour. Cut into squares and serve.
  • Cover pan with plastic wrap or put the treats in an airtight container and store on the counter for up to 3 days.
