Ingredients
- Italian sausage– you can use ground mild or hot Italian sausage. We use mild.
- Hawaiian sweet rolls– we like to use King's Hawaiian rolls that come in a 12 pull apart pack. If you can't find King's Hawaiian rolls, look for pull apart slider rolls or buns. Don't pull apart the rolls. Keep them all together!
- Pizza sauce– we like to use our homemade pizza sauce. You can also use marinara sauce. Store bought sauce is fine too, Rao's is our favorite brand.
- Mozzarella cheese– I recommend using a block of mozzarella cheese and grating it. It will melt better than store bought shredded cheese.
- Pepperoni slices– you can use regular pepperoni or turkey pepperoni.
- Salted butter– melted!
- Parmesan cheese– freshly grated!
- Herbs & Spices– garlic powder, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and parsley to make the garlic butter!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Grease with cooking oil spray and set aside.
- In a medium skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink; drain and set aside.
- Use a serrated knife to cut the rolls in half lengthwise. Don't pull apart the rolls, you want the tops and bottoms to stay connected.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared pan and spread with evenly with ½ cup of the pizza sauce (or marinara).
- Top with 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Add the pepperoni slices and cooked Italian sausage. Top with remaining shredded cheese.
- Spread the remaining ½ cup of pizza sauce (or marinara) on the cut side of the roll tops. Place on top of the shredded cheese, creating one large sandwich.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes.
- Brush the roll tops with garlic butter mixture and sprinkle with parsley.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until roll tops are lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and slice into individual sliders. Serve immediately.
- You can serve with extra pizza sauce or marinara, for dunking.

- Sliced red onion
- Canadian bacon

- Caesar Salad
- Simple Arugula Salad
- Simple Kale Salad

- Easy Spinach Salad
- Summer Caprese Salad
How to Store
- The sliders are best the day they are made, but if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Note, the longer they sit in the fridge, the soggier they will get.
- I recommend reheating in an air fryer or wrap the sliders in foil and reheat in a 350 degree oven until heated through and cheese is melted.
