I am taking a break from all of the holiday cookie baking to share this fun and festive Santa Board. This simple and cute board is the perfect addition to any holiday spread. Kids and adults love snacking with Santa!
It's a great snack to have around because Santa balances out all of the sweet treats! Plus, the Santa board is perfect for parties, play dates, work parties, school parties, or every day snacking in December! You can't go wrong with Santa!
Beautiful Boards
The Santa Board idea comes from my good friend Maegan's new cookbook, Beautiful Boards, which is filled with LOTS of fun snack board ideas. If you like to entertain, this book is for you! There is a board idea for every occasion! I can't wait to make them all!
The boys saw Santa and said we HAD to make this board for Christmas! I was happy to build a Santa Board because I knew it would get them to eat their veggies. Thank you Maegan and Santa:)
Santa Board Ingredients
The Santa Board is easy to build. You will need the following ingredients:
- Plain hummus
- Pitted black olives
- Cherry tomatoes
- Red bell peppers
- Fresh mini mozzarella balls
- Cauliflower florets
- Club crackers
- Broccoli florets
How to Make a Santa Board
- You will need a large board or platter, preferably one with a lip to build the board. This board is a great option.
- Use plain or classic hummus because it is light in color, like Santa's face. Evenly spread the hummus onto a round white plate with a lip around the edge. Place the plate in the center of a large wood board or platter.
- Press 2 large black olives for Santa's eyes, a cherry tomato for his nose, and the ½ top of a bell pepper for his smile onto the hummus.
- Layer the red bell pepper strips, starting from the top of the plate up to the top-right corner of the board to look like Santa's red hat.
- Add a line of mini mozzarella balls to the top edge of the plate and a small pile of mini mozzarella balls to decorate the top of Santa's hat.
- Arrange the cauliflower for Santa's beard, mustache, and eyebrows.
- Place the remaining black olives, except for one, at the bottom of the board, around the cauliflower beard to look like Santa's belt. Stack 3 club crackers at the very bottom center of the board with the remaining large black olive cut in half and the halves pressed together in the center of the top cracker to look like Santa's belt buckle.
- Divide the remaining cherry tomatoes on either side of Santa's cauliflower beard, filling in from the olives up to the middle of the board.
- Add the broccoli to the top left of the board and fan the club crackers along the right sight of the board.
- Serve and enjoy! Ho! Ho! Ho!

Ingredients
- 16 ounces plain hummus
- 6 ounces large pitted black olives, divided
- 30 cherry tomatoes, divided
- 3 large red bell peppers, cut into strips, reserving ½ top of a pepper
- 8 ounces fresh mini mozzarella balls, drained and patted dry
- 12 ounces cauliflower florets
- 18 club crackers
- 12 ounces broccoli florets
Instructions
- You will need a 20×13-inch board with a lip or a platter to make the Santa Board. Evenly spread the hummus onto a round white plate with a lip around the edge. Place the plate in the center of a large wood board or platter.
- Press 2 large black olives for Santa's eyes, a cherry tomato for his nose, and the ½ top of a bell pepper for his smile onto the hummus.
- Layer the red bell pepper strips, starting from the top of the plate up to the top-right corner of the board to look like Santa's hat.
- Add a line of mini mozzarella balls to the top edge of the plate and a small pile of mini mozzarella balls to decorate the top of Santa's hat.
